Online casino app Big Fish Gaming said that it decided to spread its wings and explore the lucrative UK market. The company said the time has come to move from the “not so friendly” Washington state to friendlier waters.

Within the next couple of weeks British punters will be able to access this friendly iOS app, via the App Store, punters will be able to download the software. Big Fish Gaming has teamed up with Betable, all financial transactions will be processed by the company.
Chief executive of Betable, Christopher Griffin said, “This is the biggest opportunity that game developers have had since the advent of the Internet,” he said that his company also works with various other gaming firms.
Apple spokesperson, Tom Neumayr said that his company will not be taking a percentage from the gambling sales and that App Store will only accept those games that adhere to British Law.
CEO of Big Fish, Paul Thelen said, “Apple wants to keep arms’ length from this. They don’t want to be the middleman in a gambling operation.
He concluded, “Many players already pay real money for virtual currency in Big Fish games to bet on poker, slots and other games of chance, though they cannot cash out their winnings. These users are likely to flock to real-money wagers,” adding that real money gambling in the mobile sector is “a very lucrative opportunity.”
