Forbes Magazine said that if online gambling is legalized in the United States that 11 US billionaires will be interested in it. These include land gambling and property mogul Donald Trump and Marc Lasry hedge fund billionaire.
Online Gambling Interests
Steve Wynn, another land casino tycoonsaid he is interested in exploring the potential of online gambling should it be legalised in the highly lucrative US market. Leon Black and David Bonderman also expressed their interest, they established private equity firms worth $30 billion by concluding deals with Caesar’s Entertainment (then Harrahs) a few years ago.
The Fertitta brothers, Lorenzo and Frank, said they are definitely bracing themselves for the legalization of online gambling and already opened Fertitta Interactive. Fertitta Interactive also purchased Cyberarts a developer of poker software.
The Forbes Magazine lists real property moguls like Steven Roth and Herbert Simon, who see the US Digital Gaming market as a potential cash cow.
The list also contains the name of Las Vegas Sands owner Sheldon Adelson-which comes as a bit of a surprise to us. Initially Adelson opposed online gambling, from the looks of things it seems like he had a sudden change of heart. Adelson decided he can gain more by joining the race instead of opposing it if the pastime is legalized.
