Stian Enger Pettersen of Jetbull Casino

I am the marketing manager at, a casino and sports operator that has been around since 2007. I’ve been with Jetbull for a little over three years now.

I’ve been into games in all shapes and forms since I was a kid. Card games, board games, computer games, everything really. Combined with keen interest in technology, the egaming industry was a good fit for me. is akin to a ''mall''. How does the operator stay ahead of its competition and what's its main selling point to players?

The shear number of games and different software providers on offer is our most obvious strength. We basically have the largest selection of games out there. You will currently find software from 10 different providers in the casino lobby and seven providers in the live casino lobby. Not all games are available in all markets, but we have more than 1000 games in the casino lobby, not including mobile games and live casino games.

With such a vast selection of games, we need to aid players in finding the right games for them. In the casino lobby, players simply need to toggle a few filters to display exactly what games they are interested in. Besides the more common dynamic search field, game categories, ability to tag games as favourites, we also allow players to filter games by software provider for instance. In short, and if sticking to your mall metaphor, we want our players to decide exactly which shops their personal Jetbull casino mall holds.

Another strong selling point is our customer support. It is a key differentiator that I think an operator must to do well to succeed. Being there for our players is of paramount importance to us, and our players get help on the spot in most cases. In fact, we made the winners list of the LiveHelpNow Challenge for 2014. That means we were among the top 48 companies using their customer service suite, and they have around 10,000 clients! The scoring is based on such metrics as resolution rates, survey results, proactive service, and more. That was very encouraging, and now the bar is set for 2015 in that regard.

The operator uses an array of softwares to power its suite of games. Which softwares' games (list 5) are currently very popular with players? Why makes them so spectacular?

NetEnt – Net Entertainment was our first casino software and has remained our most popular brand all along. The recent years, NetEnt has released one game per month. More often than not, these releases are massive hits among our players. Starting this year, NetEnt release games for all platforms at the same time, opposed to that mobile versions come out later. Our players like that.

Microgaming is a good number two in terms of turnover at Jetbull, and they are the hardest workers in the industry. This casino software giant releases more games than anyone else, and it is not about rebranding existing games, but new fresh titles with innovative features. I am a big fan of what they do, and how swift they do it.

EvolutionGaming is one of our top live casino brands. Reliable, high quality HD video stream, professional dealers, many tables, and excellent game selection. You should feel like a valued casino guest when playing at a live casino, and EvolutionGaming really provides that feeling.

NYX – The games provided by NYX Gaming Group perform well month after month. They provide a game portfolio with great variety as the games come from many different and strong software houses. Personally, I got a thing for the Thunderkick games provided by NYX. They really think outside the box. Check out Arcader, Fruit Warp or Flux from NYX in the Jetbull Casino, and you will see (and hear) what I mean.

EGT is a new software brand at Jetbull, and has gotten off to an exceptionally good start. We took these games live early December, and it has already become one of our more popular brands. All the EGT games interconnect through four different progressive jackpots, which sets them apart from the competition.

Transparency is a very important metric when rating an online casino. If it's not asking too much; I'd appreciate it if you can name the site's owners, give a short write up about each?

Jetbull is owned by EveryMatrix. The two major EveryMatrix shareholders are Ebbe Groes (CEO, EveryMatrix) and Stian Hornsletten (Chairman, EveryMatrix).

Mobile gambling is the future of online gaming. Can you tell us more about the site's mobile games and is it responsive across all mobile devices?

Indeed, the future is (even more) mobile. We’ve been mobile for a few years already, but have come a long way since we introduced mobile sports betting back in the day.

Today, our players have the exact same sports betting selection on mobile as on desktop, while we offer more than 300 casino games for both Android and Apple devices. In addition, a handful of games for Windows Mobile devices. You can even play many of our live casino tables on your mobile devices.

We are currently building a brand new responsive site, which will take the Jetbull Mobile experience to the next level. It will go live later in Q1 2015.

Live casino has increased in popularity amongst players. How does the operator's live casino work?

It has, and it shouldn’t surprise anyone. Live casino really is the closest thing you can get to the brick and mortar casino atmosphere, while playing at home or even from your mobile devices.

We currently offer live casino games from seven different software providers for a total of 69 live dealer tables on desktop, while we are constantly also adding more live tables on mobile. Currently our players can play more than 20 different live tables from their phone or tablet. I think it is uber cool that our customers can sit on the train and play and chat with a real casino dealer in full HD.

Due to the steep wagering requirements (WR) attached to the deposit bonus (60xb) we've awarded it the CJB (Court Jester Badge). If management agrees to lower the WR the badge will be removed. What's your take on this?

Right here and now, I cannot commit to a change in our wagering requirement for our welcome bonus and weekly reload bonus for casino. However, I can say that we pay close attention to feedback from players and affiliates, and that we are in the process of building a brand new bonus system. This system will open up a lot of new ways to reward our players, and it wouldn’t surprise me if it also leads to changes in how our bonuses are played through.

What's the biggest win Jetbull paid out recently, where was the player/s from, the average bet per spin and on which game/s was it?

The latest (really) big win that comes to mind is late last year when a Russian player cashed in a net win of €274,000 over a period of less than one month. The biggest single round win was around €90,000 I think. This is a high stakes slots player that usually bet €100 per spin. He plays mostly NetEnt slots, and the biggest wins were on Beach, Space Wars and Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Are progressive jackpots included in the withdrawal limit? How would a progressive win of $1 million be paid out?

No, and that would not be acceptable. If a customer wins $1 million on a progressive jackpot, we will ask the customer how he or she prefers to get paid and then we’d get to it. With reference to the recent big wins I mentioned – that player withdrew a total of €300,000 over a period of 2-3 weeks then (3x €100,000).

We’ve all read horror stories about operators stalling payouts when players win big, and it is absolutely not okay. It is not only unethical, but also counter-productive from a business point of view. As a player, it becomes kind of pointless to play if you cannot be sure you get paid in a timely fashion when you hit a big win.

When a players requests a withdrawal for the first time, to speed up the withdrawal process which verification documents are needed? How long does it take before withdrawals are cleared?

We need:

1. Personal identification, such as passport, driver’s license, national ID card or similar.

2. Address verification, such as utility bill or bank statement with address showing.

3. Depending on deposit method used, we may or may not ask customers to verify that the method used belongs to them. Such as a screenshot of customer’s Neteller profile page.

We adhere to a 24-hour maximum policy, though we do it faster most of the time. Swift payment processing is part of our customer service, and we have absolutely no interest of sitting on our customers’ money a minute too long.

Is Jetbull Casino the recipient of any coveted industry award/s? Does the operator have any special promotions installed for the future?

Jetbull’s parent company, EveryMatrix, has won several awards for the solutions we are using, so at least I can say that we offer award-winning products. Isolated, Jetbull has not received any industry awards. Yet.

We always aim to stay fresh. Of course there are promotions that we run time and time again, simply because they are so well received by our players, but we love to try new things as well. We are currently building a brand new bonus system that will allow us to run a lot of exciting promotions going forward. I am lucky enough to be involved in that project, so I can confidently say that it is going to rock!
