IGT Signs Deal With Holland Casino
IGT signed a LOI (Letter of Intent) with a Holland casino recently. This deal is regarded as a watershed land casino deal in Europe. IGT leads the market when it comes to land casino gaming machines and systems.
During the global expo in Las Vegas the LOI was signed by the CEOs of IGT and the Holland Casino. The deal entails the development and execution of Holland Casino’s new MOSAIC project.
“The MOSAIC project involves the modernization of systems and integration of Holland Casino’s casino management tools across all of its properties in the Netherlands using IGT’s Systems solutions,” IGT’s latest press release read. IGT will equip Holland Casino with a high-tech membership and loyalty system enabling punters to enjoy fast, reliable rewards and coinless gambling.
IGT will speed-up operational processes and focus on providing excellent customer service. The company acknowledged that responsible gaming policies will be implemented and that it forms part of the entire business solution. The Holland Casino is regarded as a world leader in responsible gaming. It scooped up the international award for ‘Socially Responsible Casino Operator of the Year’ in 2008, 2009 and 2011.
Holland Casino owns 14 properties servicing more than 5.5 million punters per year. Top executives of Holland Casino said that they are happy to have signed a deal with IGT. The CEO of Holland Casino, Dick Flink said, “Holland Casino wants to provide a superior guest experience now and in the future. To achieve this you need more than just a good working system; you need a strategic partner to co-create those delightful moments.” Robin Middendorp, vice president of operations support for Holland Casino, pointed out that it was important to use the latest technology in day-to-day operations to provide an efficient and stable system. To thrive in a competitive and globalized technological environment it is imperative you have the right partner on board, and we can honestly say we found one in IGT. “
Executives from IGT gave their feedback on the deal as well. Patti Hart, IGT CEO said that IGT is honoured to work with Holland Casino on the MOSAIC project. Since IGT was selected by Holland Casino is a testament to IGT’s resolute customer commitment. Once the necessary software has been installed, the IGT system would provide players with some of the most advanced gaming experience ever. IGT regional vice president of Europe, Sabby Gill the Middle East and Africa, stipulated that their casino management solution will aid Holland Casino not only to boost its customer loyalty but also to be flexible in their casino operations.
It stands to reason that internet gambling might just benefit from this deal. Netherland’s government made it perfectly clear when it said that it intends to properly tax and regulate internet gambling. To date it still awaits full support from its Parliament. Legalization will happen sooner or later. IGT’s success at Holland Casino might yet pave the way for its gaming software wing WagerWorks when internet gambling is legalized in Holland.[addtoany]
