IGT was one of the main exhibitors, having both a presence in land-based and internet casinos; their internet gaming segment is WagerWorks. The new internet slot game Star Trek enjoyed centre stage at the IGT booth, since it showcases the latest visual and audio technology. To crown the introduction of this new slot game, IGT’s personnel dressed up as the crew of the Starship Enterprise. IGT and MGM have joined forces to adapt the popular WagerWorks slot game Cleopatra for iPhone application. Players will be able to access this slot game on a fun basis to all MGM Resorts M Life Player Club members through their iPhones. Also displayed at the ICE was the slot game Wipeout, WagerWorks is the software provider to its range of internet casinos.

As always Playtech had a strong presence at the ICE and showcased its wide selection of internet gambling products. The new user interface found a huge fan base by interested internet casino players. One of the key aspects of this new interface it is easy-to-navigate, conducive to players and has an all-inclusive search feature. This feature enables players to find casino games offering the best bonuses or a specific gaming style, or games comparable to current favourites. The search results provide full game imagery and visuals. Playtech has also informed its fan base that it will release a couple of new internet slots games like the Mummy and Monty Python’s Spamalot and the latest version of Ironman.

The Kahnawake Gaming Commission also participated at the ICE. Kahnawake has upgraded its regulatory process, based on feedback from other licensing jurisdictions and eCOGRA. The commission’s player dispute channel was also represented at the exhibition and operated independently by well-liked casino industry expert Micki Oster. Board member Murray Marshall stated that if regulators don’t concentrate on player protection they’ll be making a huge mistake.  The Chairman of Kahnawake Gaming Commission Chairman also mentioned that regulations are being upgraded all the time and expected to be live by the middle of 2011. He added, “Our aim is on meticulousness without over complicating matters and a combination of practicality and significance that profits both operators and our players.”
